Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials in the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage inventory while maintaining accurate stock records using warehouse management systems.
- Material Handling: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load & Unload Transport: Safely load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring cargo is secured and organized for efficient processing.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, organizing aisles, and disposing of waste properly.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid forklift operator license (Class A, B, or C) or certified for forklift operation required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for logging work hours and inventory checks.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
