Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate various forklifts (Counterbalance, Reach, Pallet Jack) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately verify counts of incoming and outgoing shipments using handheld scanners and WMS systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify mechanical issues and report any necessary repairs immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with precision and speed to meet daily production targets.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience operating heavy industrial forklifts.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate uneven warehouse surfaces.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
