Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage inventory items using RF scanners and handheld devices.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, damaged goods, and daily logs.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and logistics staff to ensure efficient workflow and meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory. Class B preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
