Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and heavy machinery to move, locate, and relocate materials safely within the facility.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks before and after shifts.
- Load and unload shipments accurately, ensuring proper labeling and secure placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse managers regarding inventory levels and shipment status.
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counting procedures to ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (CDL Class A/B is a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate handheld scanners.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
