Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and record inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy and organizing warehouse spaces effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies; conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections.
- Material Handling: Stack, move, and store materials in designated areas, ensuring they are protected from damage and weather elements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of materials moved, including batch numbers and shipping documentation.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to understand instructions and safety protocols.
