Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in compliance with all OSHA safety regulations.
- Load and Unload Freight: Manage the movement of goods from delivery trucks to storage areas, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling techniques.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts, check shipments for damages, and update inventory management systems in real-time.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times; immediately report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
- Organization: Assist in the strategic organization of warehouse storage areas to maximize space efficiency and workflow speed.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery logs and safety checklists.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy industrial equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify accuracy in inventory and shipping documentation.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, drug-free, and willing to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
