As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring products are moved accurately and safely. We value safety above all else and provide comprehensive training for all equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper organization of stock within the warehouse.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage during transit and report any issues immediately to the warehouse supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of stock movements and equipment inspections.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications
- License: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent) required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate a busy warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and shipping documents.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
