Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe, working condition.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S standards and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity and safety goals.
- Report any damaged inventory or equipment immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Valid Class I, II, or III Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and paperwork.
