Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Control: Accurately count, tag, and record inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Safety Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of all equipment. Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse. Stack pallets according to safety guidelines and optimize storage space.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company operational procedures at all times.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and fellow operators to coordinate daily workflows and meet production targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be able to work in various temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License (Class C) is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
