Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift safety inspections of the forklift to ensure proper functionality and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Collaborate with team leads to prioritize orders and meet strict shipping deadlines.
- Keep the work area organized and clean, ensuring aisles and floors are free of obstructions.
- Assist in the physical moving of pallets and heavy equipment when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory scanning and record-keeping.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
