Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, store, and distribute inventory using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanners.
- Load & Unload Trucks: Perform loading and unloading operations for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, perform pre-shift equipment inspections, and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by keeping aisles clear and organizing stock areas.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders with speed and accuracy to meet daily shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred or state-specific equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions (loading dock).
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order processing.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Documentation: Basic computer literacy for logging daily activities and inventory counts.
