As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our daily operations, ensuring our inventory is processed accurately and safely. If you are detail-oriented and hold a valid forklift certification, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (Reach, Fork, Pallet Jack) and other warehouse machinery to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, verifying, and storing incoming shipments to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies immediately to the warehouse supervisor.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class C or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and navigate uneven surfaces.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
