Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Load and Unload Vehicles: Accurately load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts, stock replenishment, and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and maintain a clean work area.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Stack pallets safely according to company guidelines and facility height restrictions.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety; able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
