Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy through scanning and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- License: Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., Reach Truck, High Lift, or Forklift) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail when handling inventory and documentation.
- Availability: Must be available for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
