Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for moving, locating, and verifying specific quantities of materials within the warehouse. You will ensure that products are stored correctly and shipped efficiently to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and stage materials according to shipping and receiving orders.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and organize stock to optimize warehouse flow.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10 or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours) throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
