Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and stocking inventory with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure optimal performance.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly workspace, including palletizing and shrink-wrapping as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks and inventory reports.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current OSHA forklift operator certification (CDL Class B is a plus).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license required.
