Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check stock, verify counts, and maintain inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily productivity targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down forklifts and stand-up reach trucks is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand safety labels and logs.
