Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in strict accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Verify incoming and outgoing inventory counts and accurately document shipment data using warehouse management systems.
- Collaborate with team leads to ensure timely processing of orders and adherence to production schedules.
- Follow all company protocols regarding proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (Valid certification required for the specific equipment type).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; trade school certification is a plus.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a distribution or manufacturing environment (1+ years preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret shipping labels and warehouse logs.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical agility test.
