Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to ensure the smooth operation of our distribution center. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, ensuring our inventory is managed with precision.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, strictly adhering to 5S principles and safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Accurately document inventory movement, stock levels, and damages using warehouse management software.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team leads and other warehouse staff to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
- Handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) with proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
