Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and high-reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport freight within the port facility and warehouse.
- Execute precise order picking and put-away operations to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Perform routine safety inspections on all forklift equipment before and during shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members to coordinate logistics and workflow.
- Handle heavy materials with care, ensuring damage-free delivery to designated storage areas.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) and weekends as required.
- Must pass a post-offer background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and inventory tracking systems.
