Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) in real-time.
- Organize, stack, and secure cargo to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery (Forklifts, Reach Trucks, etc.) in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory scanning systems.
