Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance, Pallet Jacks) safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, and railcars in strict adherence to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring aisles and dock areas are free of obstructions.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage inventory orders for shipping and receiving.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, stand for long periods, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Documentation: Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and load sheets.
- Availability: Must be available for overtime and rotating shifts as required.
