Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, counting, and stocking of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment for all employees.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Material Transport: Transport palletized goods to designated storage areas or shipping docks efficiently and accurately.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse floor to facilitate safe operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and available for full-time, day-shift hours.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license required.
