Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload materials.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Ensure products are properly palletized and stacked according to safety guidelines to maximize warehouse space.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits, ensuring accuracy in stock levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Shipping & Receiving: Assist in the receiving and shipping of goods, verifying accuracy of orders against packing slips.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CDL Class A or B is a plus but not required).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions (loading dock areas).
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
