Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
- Inventory Handling: Load, unload, and move materials to and from designated storage areas with accuracy and speed.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Efficiently stack and palletize products to ensure maximum warehouse space utilization and prevent damage.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (CPC or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class C or higher) is often required for shipping roles.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and inventory accuracy.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
