Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products.
- Precise Handling: Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage and maintain high inventory integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, company policies, and forklift operation protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify any mechanical issues and report them immediately.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock checks, cycle counts, and organizing warehouse aisles to optimize workflow.
- Cargo Loading: Load and unload trailers efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Willingness to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, or weekends as required.
