What You Will Do:
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse. Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Control: Perform daily cycle counts and ensure accurate stock levels using warehouse management software.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload trucks, verifying quantities against packing slips.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to prevent accidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-shift inspections and report any mechanical issues with equipment immediately.
- Organization: Keep storage areas organized and ensure proper labeling of all stock.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid forklift operator license (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Good vision and physical stamina are required.
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Background Check: Must pass a standard background check and drug screen.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
