As a Forklift Operator, you will ensure the efficient movement of inventory and contribute to our reputation for safety and quality service.
Responsibilities
- Safe Operation of Equipment: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Scissor Lifts) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts, stock replenishment, and maintain accurate records of stock locations using our WMS system.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations, conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Packaging & Shipping: Inspect products for damage, ensure proper packaging techniques, and prepare orders for timely shipment.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to ensure optimal workflow and safety for all team members.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with machinery immediately to management and perform routine cleaning of equipment.
- Quality Control: Verify order accuracy and document any discrepancies during the picking and packing process.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Must hold a current and valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read shipping labels, pick tickets, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff.
