Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and stock inventory accurately to maintain optimal warehouse organization.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring cargo security and proper weight distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding equipment handling and workplace safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet daily productivity targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- License: Possession of a valid Forklift Operator License is required. (We will consider training for candidates with a strong mechanical aptitude if a license is pending).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing or logistics is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills to understand safety instructions and coordinate with the team.
