Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines, conduct pre-shift inspections, and report any equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Load and Unload: Securely load and unload trucks using proper tie-downs and safety protocols to prevent damage to goods.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times, ensuring aisles are clear and floors are free of hazards.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs, delivery notes, and inventory reports as required by management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and navigate tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to verify inventory accuracy and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
- Communication: Ability to read and understand work orders and communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
