Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to delivery trucks.
- Inspect forklifts for any mechanical issues before starting shifts and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts by adhering to stock-taking procedures and maintaining records.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and efficient warehouse flow.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety protocols when operating forklifts in busy dock areas.
Qualifications
- Valid Class III Forklift Certification (Must be present at time of interview).
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory data.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
