Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control processes, including scanning, tagging, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipment preparation.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- License: Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent) is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; good manual dexterity.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
