Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, order pickers) to load, unload, and move materials safely.
- Verify inventory counts and ensure accurate stock levels by performing cycle counts and reconciling paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures for packaging, labeling, and shipping products.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and potential issues.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
