Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning products and logging data into the warehouse management system.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards at all times.
- Perform routine pre-shift and post-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily shipping and receiving quotas.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company operational policies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to undergo and complete forklift certification training (paid by employer).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic math skills and ability to read labels, barcodes, and tags accurately.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
