Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move pallets and materials.
- Load and Unload: Perform the loading and unloading of freight from trucks and trailers, ensuring accuracy and weight distribution.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure stock levels match records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear and organized to facilitate efficient traffic flow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs), and perform physical labor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with team leads and warehouse staff.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
