Responsibilities
- Safe Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials to and from storage areas, trucks, and shipping docks efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock is organized and easily accessible.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in proper working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including shipping logs and daily checklists, with high accuracy.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive motions.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential; no prior forklift experience is necessary (training provided).
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
