As a Forklift Operator, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring inventory is moved efficiently and safely. We prioritize employee development and provide comprehensive training for all machinery.
Responsibilities
- Safe Equipment Operation: Safely operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse facility.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate records of stock movement and ensure proper organization of inventory to facilitate efficient order fulfillment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and warehouse equipment to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Material Handling: Stack, store, and retrieve products in accordance with safety guidelines, including heavy lifting and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Team Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator license (OSHA certified) is required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics setting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Focus: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime and varied shifts as required by business needs.
