Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, stack, and organize inventory safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers in accordance with safety protocols and shipping schedules.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting cycle counts and updating warehouse management systems.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and clutter-free warehouse floor.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members regarding inventory levels and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (or be willing to obtain one through our training program).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory or operating warehouse scanners.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
