Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing stock items while maintaining accurate inventory records using our modern WMS.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free working environment for all team members.
- Shipping & Receiving: Prepare and stage shipments for delivery, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team to optimize workflow and meet daily productivity targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.
- License: Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred but not always required for forklift roles).
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
