Responsibilities
- Process and verify shipping orders, bills of lading, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with various transportation carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and cost-efficiency.
- Track shipments in real-time using logistics software, proactively identifying and resolving delays or exceptions.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation for all outbound and inbound freight.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide shipment status updates and resolve any logistical issues.
- Assist in the optimization of warehouse workflows and inventory management processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong knowledge of shipping terms, Incoterms, and domestic/international regulations.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
