Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Load, unload, and stage materials and products with precision and efficiency to ensure timely distribution.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts to verify stock levels against warehouse management systems.
- Organize the warehouse layout to optimize storage space and ensure easy access to goods for shipping and receiving.
- Conduct routine pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to meet tight deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
