Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and Unload: Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring cargo security and proper placement.
- Inventory Management: Accurately check and record inventory counts, ensuring stock levels match system records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing PPE and performing daily pre-shift inspections.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CLP).
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and load documentation.
- Availability: Must be available to start immediately (tomorrow) and work flexible hours including weekends if required.
