Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely operate electric and internal combustion forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and dock areas.
- Inventory Management: Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately scan, track, and record incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery trucks with speed and precision to meet tight deadlines.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and other team members to coordinate workflow and resolve logistical issues.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read labels, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, if required.
