Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and logging stock movements into the warehouse management system.
- Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and free of hazards to comply with OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes and meet daily production targets.
- Perform routine checks on pallets and loads to ensure stability and prevent damage during transport.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (CP or Class III) or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
