Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner, strictly adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Inventory Management: Accurately pick, pack, and stage materials to meet production schedules and customer orders.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload shipments from trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and damage-free.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify potential issues and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment by organizing inventory and sweeping aisles.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and daily logs as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (for example: OSHA 10 or specific manufacturer certification).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and operate in a warehouse environment with varying temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and safety to prevent inventory errors and accidents.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
