As a Forklift Operator at SwiftLogistics, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of goods, inventory management, and maintaining a clean work environment. Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials and products.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, stock, and organize inventory in designated storage areas using barcode scanners and inventory management systems.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trucks and containers in a timely manner, ensuring products are secured properly to prevent damage.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking and packing orders accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be comfortable with repetitive motion.
- License: Valid Driver's License (Class D) is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting stock and handling products.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
