Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Machinery: Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Inventory Control: Assist with inventory counts, stock verification, and maintaining accurate digital inventory records.
- Pallet Management: Properly wrap, stack, and secure pallets to ensure product integrity during storage and transport.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols regarding heavy machinery operation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to identify any mechanical issues before starting work.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must hold a valid forklift operator license (OSHA 10 or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift (Counterbalance) in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive lifting/moving tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and safe handling of cargo.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
