Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely operate forklifts to load and unload shipments from trucks and transport them to designated storage areas.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by scanning, tagging, and organizing stock.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Stock Transfers: Move pallets and materials between different storage zones or departments as requested by management.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily operations, including shift reports and equipment usage.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating heavy industrial machinery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and attention to detail in inventory tracking.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is preferred.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
