Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and conducting daily equipment inspections.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts, stock verification, and maintaining accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Packing & Shipping: Prepare pallets for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, strapping, and documentation are completed accurately.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy for inputting inventory data.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order fulfillment.
