Job Summary
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our daily operations by ensuring the efficient movement of inventory. You will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, organizing warehouse aisles, and maintaining a safe workspace. We value safety and efficiency above all else.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and ensuring they are placed in the correct locations.
- Load Preparation: Prepare pallets for shipping and ensure they are properly wrapped and secured for transport.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory levels and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- No Experience Required: Previous forklift experience is a plus but NOT required; we will train the right candidate.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation to and from the facility.
